About Purebond®
TimberFusion Engineered Hardwoods are among the first in the industry to achieve both phase 1 and 2 certifications from the California Air Resource Board (CARB). Always trying to find the next innovative way to help your projects strive to be more environmentally conscious, TimberFusion Engineered Hardwoods use PureBond® Technology—a formaldehyde-free, soy based alternative to the traditional adhesives used in plywood construction.
A forerunner in setting standards for air contaminants, CARB is a division of the California EPA striving to establish limits for air contaminants such as formaldehyde and emissions from composite wood products. TimberFusion’s certification was achieved almost a year before the California EPA’s January 1, 2010 deadline, making Daltile one of the first in the industry to adopt this kind of standard. Following CARB’s example, many states are enforcing similar mandates, meaning TimberFusion Engineered Hardwoods will be one step ahead and better prepared once these regulations take effect nationwide.
PureBond technology applies to Park West, Wyndham Hills and Estate Oaks Collections.
